The most important things to me are the people in my life, deepening those relationships and adding new ones along the way. A vehicle for my extroversion is soccer, a game I’ve played for 40 years which rewards me with the highs of teamwork, friendship, physicality, and competitive drama.

I try to get a little bit better every day in all aspects of life, from parenting and relationships to personal skills and professional competence. Some of my passions are playing and coaching table tennis, continually exploring all things Barcelona, and learning languages.

Keeping a positive outlook and being optimistic is important to me. I’m the annoying friend who looks for the best in situations rather than letting you just rant about a problem. My favourite definition of an Optimist is someone who figures taking a step backwards after taking one forwards isn’t a disaster – it’s more like a cha-cha! That definitely sums it up for me!

Being healthy and happy are the two most important things to me and that I would wish for others. I also love being outdoors and am a keen runner, having recently completed my second marathon.

A focal point for me is to always try new things and encourage others to do the same, not being afraid to be bad at something if you’re having fun doing it. Outside of work I love the outdoors – swimming, walking, gardening, and I’m an amateur potter.

The idea of community and collective responsibility is important to me – appreciating that ‘no man is an island’ and we should all be doing our part to help, raise and support others. Outside of work I try to live playfully, as inspired by my kids. Whether it’s splashing in muddy puddles, scooting down a hill or painting our faces.

What’s important to me is making sure I (and my loved ones) stay healthy and balanced. I love to stay active through running, biking, hiking, swimming, and yoga, as well as connecting with my creativity and the earth through travel, gardening, bee keeping, photography and more.

Doing right by others and spending quality time with friends and family are things I find important. Outside of work, I enjoy watching movies, live music, going to the theatre and am an avid football and tennis fan.

I enjoy travelling to new places and am at my happiest when high in the mountains or with sand between my toes. My simple pleasures in life include country walks, Greek food, a strong cosmopolitan and laughing until it hurts.

I think it’s imperative to not get too comfortable and like to set myself new challenges whenever I can. Outside of work I’m a runner, I find being out in the open air and nature is good for the soul.

Honesty and having ‘me time’ are important to me. In my free time I enjoy playing computer games and pool.

I am passionate about preserving remnants of the past. When I can, I spend time at flea markets and vintage stores adding to my collection of old things (art, magazines, records, furniture, clothes, and so much more). There is just something special about owning a piece of someone’s past.

Making sure my loved ones and I are happy, healthy, and well taken care of is one of my top priorities in life. I love expressing my creativity through cooking and baking, but when I’m not in the kitchen you can find me roller skating with my friends, reading a good novel, tending to my many houseplants, or hiking in one of our local Bay Area Redwood parks with my dog.

Spending my time and energy with people I love is paramount – usually it’s over some hearty food, or while running after my very friendly, very cheeky dog.

I love to be challenged and put outside my comfort zone. Outside of work I am an avid surfer, runner, and movie watcher!

Number one for me is family, although my boys are now pretty independent and it’s a bit of a wrench to find myself with a newly empty nest! The freedom and flexibility to ride my bike and travel more does make up for it a bit.

Being considerate of others is something really important to me, becoming a source of ironic agony as I naturally block everyone’s view at concerts. I’m most passionate about sports (if you can kick it, bounce it, or drive it), and if I ever say no to adding hot sauce – send help. 

Living a happy, healthy life surrounded by family and friends is important to me. Outside of work, I like to keep active through sports and dance, which are both lifelong passions of mine. I also love travelling and experiencing new things.
